Segonato Ulis nominated as LIDUN Sec-Gen

Segoanto Paul Ulis has been nominated by President Brooke Weasley to the position of LIDUN Sec-General. Ulis, more popularly known as Segonto is the current dean of Howard Prince-Gonzalez University but had previously served as a MP for South San Fernando from 2010 to 2019 as a Conservative Party member. Segonto is well known within his field as one of the most well-regarded experts in foreign affairs.

Today, Segonato was nominated in a official ceremony by President Weasley in her first public address of 2025. President Weasley said few words, as rumors continue to grow around the health and mental capacity of the long-time Conservative leader. Regardless, Segonato accepted the nomination and thanked the widespread partisan “input” which led to his nomination. Segonato initially served in the military from 1987 to 2002, working as intelligence officer within the Foreign States Bureau (FSB). Upon leaving service, he achieved a Master’s degree from San Fernando University in Strategic Mediation before being selected on the roll of the Conservative Party in the 2010 Election. Upon his election, he served on the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs, where he was chair from 2011-2013 and as vice-chair from 2013-2019. After losing his seat in the 2018 Election he became a well known political speaker before being chosen as HPGU’s new dean in 2021.

Segonato has a specialization in Caxcanian Affairs, a possible reason of his position, however Segonato has already promised to serve as a “unbiased voice, but a voice for the betterment of humanity”. In terms of policy Segonato supported military intervention to protect civilians in Lauchernoria and is a leading supporter of “right to protect” in terms of policy. Despite this, Segonato defended the use of force in Kaijan despite backlash for military’s human rights abuses, saying they were “unfounded”. Segonato is considered a rising voice within the Conservative Party and was even considered a approachable replacement to the typically vocal Weasley.

There was some criticism of his nomination as he is a member of the Reformed Revivalist Church, a controversial organization within Slokais as it share’s ties with the Ambonar Church of God and has come under fire for it’s rhetoric in the past. His second name “Paul” is a common name taken upon by Revivalist members upon there rebaptism.
