BREAKING: Doinamese Air Force Strikes Northern Villages

Ben Bo Bien, Doi Nam – At 9:30am numerous air strikes have been reported in the North of Doi Nam by the Doinamese Air Force. These strikes have been focused around small villages in the areas claimed by the rebel Doinamese Liberation Army (DLA). It is, however, unknown whether or not DLA forces were in the area, and numerous civilian casualties have been reported. The strikes are ongoing, with rotating flights in and out of Doinamese military air bases, often dropping bombs on villages previously targeted only minutes before.

Already, the DLA has called the attack an atrocity, blasting the Vuong presidency for willingly contributing to civilian losses without clear objectives. They have state that it shows President Vuong’s cruelty to his own people, and underlines the need for the DLA to win in the country’s ongoing civil war. The DLA further stated that they will be assisting the affected villages in any way they can. This, they claim, will be only carried out should the villages accept, stating: “we understand why village leaders may wish to avoid our assistance, as that may invite further reprisal by the Vuong regime and it’s terror tactics.”

The current administration in Ben Bo Bien meanwhile, has outright denied any strikes on civilian villages. Instead, they claim that they have been striking rebel strong points in the region. This is reportedly to enable a general offensive in the region to root out and destroy the DLA. Government spokesmen have outright denied any and all civilian casualties as a result of the rolling airstrikes. Any claims to the contrary, they say, is propaganda deployed by the DLA to attempt to discredit the Presidency of Vuong.

This situation is ongoing, and we will continue to monitor the situation as it develops.
