Father Christmas nominated for Best IDU Film

Lumeniola, Libertas Omnium Maximus – The Sanctarian festive film, Father Christmas, has been nominated in the category of Best IDU Film at this year’s regional film festival, being held in Libertas Omnium Maximus. Directed by Haven native Regina Lakeside, the film tells the tale of Father Christmas, but not in the way you know him. This Father Christmas is cruel and has a devious and sinister secret.

Starring some of the best child actors from Sanctaria and beyond, lead actress Kathy Sinclair has also been nominated in the category of Best Actor in an IDU Film at this year’s awards – at 16, this is one of Sinclar’s most acclaimed roles yet and is definitely a feather in the cap of a promising actor.

Krampus was released in Sanctaria this year on December 1st, and is rated 16 and older. It contains some mild language, and scenes of violence. The movie did attract some small protests in the eastern states of Sanctaria, predominantly from strict adherents to the Sanctarian Catholic Church, who claimed the film corrupted the good image of who they know as Saint Nicholas.

The winners of the IDU Film Festival awards will be announced in January 2022.
