Huenyan startup teams up with JanElek

The Huenyan electronics startup Temiqui announced today that it has entered a partnership with the Eirian electronics manufacturer JanElek to jointly develop and market products. The two companies will initially partner on a line of mobile phones. Temiqui (“Dream” in Huenyan) has designed a set of mobile phones aimed at multiple price points, reflecting the demand for both budget and high-end options in the emerging Huenyan market.

The Miztōn series of phones takes its name from the Huenyan word for “cat”. It is meant to provide a colorful and distinctive set of phones on the lower end of the cost spectrum, while still providing good performance. The Miztōn line will come in several bright colors including green, yellow, red, blue and purple. It will feature a 6-inch screen and up to 512GB of storage.

On the higher end, the Tletl (“fire”) lineup will offer up to 1TB of storage, a 6.9-inch screen, and “premium” exterior options in gold, silver, white and “sunrise rose” color options.

All of the phones will use the Huenyan-engineered Temiqui OS operating system. JanElek is working with Temiqui to develop and produce the phone lines. Current plans are to market the Temiqui devices throughout Caxcana, in a direct challenge to the Xiomeran electronics manufacturer Cala. The Xiomeran manufacturer has long held a leading position in the Caxcana and worldwide electronics markets, especially in the higher-end market. Temiqui is hoping to make a dent in Cala’s dominant market position by offering a “product of equal technical and physical quality but superior moral quality,” Temiqui’s CEO Yaremac told DTNS.

“Cala Electronics is a pivotal cornerstone of the Xiomeran regime,” Yaremac said. “As one of Xiomera’s largest and wealthiest corporations, it provides both significant tax revenue and technological assistance to the regime. Our goal is to get the world to see that you don’t have to do business with a company that supports a dictatorial and imperialistic state just to have an excellent phone. Buy one from us instead and you can feel good about your purchase.”

Yaremac praised the link-up with JanElek as “an example of the good things that can happen when neighbors work together in a spirit of mutual innovation.”

“JanElek provides the technical and marketing know-how and muscle that an emerging company like ours needs, but in a mutually beneficial way. It really embodies the spirit of things like the UCS and the overall movement in Caxcana towards greater cooperation,” Yaremac said.

President Nikolajs Jansons of JanElek was equally enthusiastic about the partnership. “We are very excited to cooperate with our friends across the Nereus Sea. With some hard work and luck, we can build ventures that will bring a new era of technological advancement to the region,” he told DTNS.

The mobile phones will be the first product lines that Temiqui offers. Yaremac confirmed that if the phones are successful, the next planned joint venture is to begin branching into other mobile devices such as tablets. A line of desktop and laptop computers is also on the drawing board. “Anything Cala sells, we will sell also – only better products that are better for the world.”

When asked to comment on the Temiqui-JanElek partnership, Cala CEO Xocolcōza was dismissive. “As the preeminent electronics corporation of the best manufacturing nation in the world, Cala is the best of the best. Those that know quality, can afford quality, and settle for nothing less than the best will continue to buy our products. Those that don’t, or can’t, may settle for Eirian junk re-badged as Huenyan junk. But it’s appropriate that this new company is called ‘Dream.’ They really are dreaming if they truly think they will ever surpass what is literally the best electronics corporation in the world, either in Caxcana or anywhere else.”
